Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is a hospitality group with international footprints. It’s forward-looking vision, best-in-class service and innovative solutions made it a reputable brand in the market. Their trading volume has grown rapidly, and eager to capture the market and expand further. With the changing needs of the markets, to help business optimize their talents and commitment towards sustainable development & growth in the regions, they are currently looking for a Legal talent to join the organization and lead the team. The role will be based in Hong Kong.

• Draft, review and negotiate full spectrum of commercial contracts and agreements

• Identify and mitigate legal, compliance and regulatory risks

• Handle company secretarial/corporate governance matters, ensuring the group’s compliance is in line with Hong Kong Listing Rules and Corporate Governance Guidelines

• Handle legal and compliance matters arise from other jurisdictions without in-house counsels

• Participate in cross-border transactions and M&A

• Raise legal and compliance awareness in the business and enhance corporate governance by improving relevant framework

• Support in ad hoc projects and assignments

PQE 7+, with in-house commercial experience in hospitality and/or property industry. Possess multi-jurisdictional experience and strong commercial sense, be the subject matter expert and independent. As one of the main legal representatives of the company, you must possess excellent presentation and communication skills and be fluent in Chinese and English. Possess a strategic mindset, excellent risk awareness, global vision and being ethical. Embrace changes and flexible. You should also possess strong commercial acumen, organized & analytical with the ability to manage mid-large projects well.
