Our client is a telecommunication services provider with substantial technology elements. It’s forward-looking vision, best-in-class service and innovative solutions made it a reputable brand in the market. They have business footprints in APAC, U.S., and EU market, providing services to MNCs. Their trading volume has grown rapidly, and eager to capture the market and expand further. With the changing needs of the markets, to help business optimize their talents and commitment towards sustainable development & growth in the regions, they are currently looking for a Legal, Compliance & Regulatory talent to join the organization and lead the team to support the business to greater heights. The role will be based in Hong Kong.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:


• Draft, review and negotiate full spectrum of commercial contracts and agreements

• Identify and mitigate legal, compliance and regulatory risks

• Utilize sanction tools to identify relevant risks and perform sanction analysis

• Advise on data protection and work closely with Data Protection Officers

• Oversee telecommunication licensing matters in various jurisdictions

• Keep up-to-date about industry specific rules, ordinances and regulations

• Liaise with regulators and report updates to the Executive Committee

• Implement policies and standards from HQ to local level

• Support in ad hoc projects and assignments


Experience

PQE 12+, with in-house commercial experience, preferably with exposure in TMT / IT industry. Possess multi-jurisdictional experience and strong commercial sense, be the subject matter expert and independent. As one of the main legal representatives of the company, you must possess excellent presentation and communication skills and be fluent in Chinese and English. Possess a strategic mindset, excellent risk awareness, global vision and being ethical. Embrace changes and flexible. You should also possess strong commercial acumen, organized & analytical with the ability to manage mid-large projects well.
