Academic Head

Our client is a prestigious educational institution in Hong Kong. They're seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join their team as the Academic Head (English or Math).

• Develop and enhance the English curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards and the needs of students. 
• Provide guidance and support to English teachers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring effective instructional practices. 
• Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified English instructors. Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and provide opportunities for professional development.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional delivery, student engagement, and academic progress. Implement strategies to address areas of improvement and maintain high standards of excellence.
• Collaborate with teachers and counselors to provide academic support and guidance to students. 
• Design and implement assessment strategies to measure student progress and competency in English. 

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in English, Education, or a related field. 
• Minimum of 6 years of teaching experience in English education. Familiar with international tests and syllabuses such as the IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, ACT and SAT
• Strong knowledge of English curriculum development, instructional methodologies, and assessment practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team of educators.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. 
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
