A leading global investment bank is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join its Hong Kong team.
The individual will have the ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a pressure filled environment. (CEN-VW)

• Install, test and package RDBMS releases and patches for global deployment
• Develop, maintain and document DB administration and monitoring tools for all company’s RDBMS technologies
• Perform performance and tuning analysis and problem resolution
• Collaborate closely with business and IT to test and implement new systems, storage systems or operating systems

• Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent from a high-achieving institution
• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on system administration and relational database architecture, ideally from the financial industry
• Strong experience in Sybase/MSSQL/Oracle on Solaris, IBM AIX; Linux, Windows server is essential
• ODBC, JDBC and Sybase APIs experience would be a benefit for this role
• Sound knowledgeable in SQL and Shell, and Perl coding skills is required
• Good experience in MS SQL Server is advantageous
• Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as fluent spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin are a necessity
