Our client is a US based buying office specializing for Houseware items. To cope with their expansion, they are looking for energetic candidates to join their team as Quality Manager.

• Responsible for managing the Quality department to ensure global compliance, Security measures and internal/external quality standards
• Monitor tool making facilities and provide progress reports as required
• Review preventive maintenance process for tooling and fixtures and ensure that it is being followed
• Develop and maintain QIS documentation. Translate QIS to native dialect for use on the production floor at all factories
• Implement and maintain boundary samples at the factories as well as in the HK office
• Maintain an overseas scorecard which tracks supplier performance
• Analyze manufacturing facility workstation lay-outs and manufacturing processes to identify potential improvements or cost-savings opportunities
• Review workstation lay-out and confirm that operators have been properly trained
• Perform on-site product testing in accordance with company quality standards and DV test plans; And conduct verification of QIS documents during production runs. Document test results and present findings
• Continuously review completed products and provide suggestions for quality improvements
• Communicate potential quality issues to Group Quality Manager and manufacturers’ production supervisors
• Work with external testing facilities to pass preproduction, retailer specific requirements
• Understand and manage retailers specific audit requirements to ensure all factories remain compliant
• Perform semiannual global compliance audits on all current factories & annual C-TPAT audits in all manufacturing facilities

• University graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management or related disciplines.
• 7-10 years experience in Quality Control roles with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role in sizable companies
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff
• Proven success in establishing and implementing QC / QA systems efficiently and effectively. Must be able to generate clear, concise reports and documentation.
• Must be able to work in and travel across China as required and make annual trip to the U.S.
• Knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements
• Ability to identify, analyze, and solve issues with regard to processing and quality
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills is required
• Good command in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin is necessary
